2016 Annual General Meeting
It’s time for performance reviews and exciting new plans for the Clansmen!
This past Saturday November 5th featured the Annual General Meeting.
The meeting was a great chance to discuss all figures and achievements of the 2016 Rugby Season, elect the new executives for the coming season, and prepare the ground for the Clansmen next goals.
A good handful of members attended the event and contributed to its success!
Kicking off with the speech of 2016 President Devin Vandenberg, the ball was passed along all executives for a round of comments. 2016 had its challenges and great results but overall rugby was the winner on the day.
Club members have been more committed than ever contributing to improve the Club’s culture. The Women’s team won the City Championship. All Men’s divisions saw growing registration numbers and active participation. Coaches finally established a great synergy and worked awesomely together to the benefit of the Club and all men’s teams - thanks also to New Zealand Head Coach Andy Stead who helped them rediscover their passion for teamwork and the Club in the name of Rugby. Also, there were 10,000 volunteer hours over the last year, demonstrating our community’s commitment towards the Club.
However, there is still so much space for improvement that goals for the new season are numerous. The new elected committee of executives will continue the great work with a lot of planning already under-way to guarantee a better-than-ever Rugby Club in the heart of Edmonton that best serves our community.
Here is the list of our new Executives for 2017:
